Once the critical mass of 80 active users in one thread is reached, DEMOS automatically opens up a forum for the family card issue. Dorothy's webspace is transformed into the header section of the new forum, and an introductory statement and a summary of the contributions is made available for new participants.

Dorothy is assigned new rights and responsibilities as founder of the forum. With the help of her assistant agent, she personalises some features of her user interface so as to make better use of the system's functions.

The DEMOS support team assigns a moderator to keep track of the debate. The system now has some new functions including enhanced help facilities for new users and to explain the use of the new functions.
